Recreation is a distinct pleasure at Trump International Doonbeg, with a variety of activities to choose from: Guests may prefer the simplest pleasure; an early morning relaxing stroll or jog along 1.5 miles of coastline overlooked by Trump International Doonbeg. For the adventurous, activities are wide ranging, including - horseback riding, hillwalking, nature adventures, coastal cycle rides and family activities to suit every interest. Surfing, shoreline and off shore fishing, kayaking and diving are some of the many water activities, which can be facilitated at Trump International Doonbeg and it’s surrounding area.

Our various recreational activities to enjoy include:

• Running: In the countryside we have lots of routes for running with beautiful scenery. You can chose to run on the beach or one of the many local routes we have. We are also located only a 15 minute drive from a parkrun route. This is a 1 loop, 5km route through the beautiful Vandeleur Woods in Kilrush. It starts at 9.30am each Saturday.
• Cycling: See the landscape and the coastline of West Clare on our complimentary bicycles while you explore the courtryside from Doonbeg to Loophead. There are a variety of cycle routes of varying distances and terrains to suit cyclists of all skill levels. Along the way you will discover animals great and small, travel along hedge-lined minor country roads providing panoramic cliff and sea vies and pass through rural villages. For the more cautious biker of those who lack the knowledge of the Irish road system, we can arrange a guide for your journey.
• Archery: Grab your bow, fill your quiver and prepare to take aim. Archery is a fun experience with detailed instruction to help you learn how to shoot a bow and arrow. There is nothing quite like hitting the target. No matter what your skill level we can work with you.
• Clay Pigeon Shooting: Clay pigeon shooting is a thrilling experience which requires concentration and rapid reactions. Once you are comfortable with the gun, take aim and soon you will be hitting those clays. We cater for people of all skill ranges from beginners to skilled shooters. Its a great way to get people involved in an exciting sport which will exhilarate.
• Dolphin Watching: Our location on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean provides us with an array of maritime activities. One of the most popular is certainly Dolphin Watching, which departs from Carrigaholt, which is located 30 minutes south of Doonbeg. During the 2 hour sailing you can expect to see bottle nose dolphins, grey seals and pelagic seabirds. Sunset cruises are also available.
